The Debut

In the age of facebook, where the fb'ers(facebookers) google quotes to set them as their status messages, in order to get some likes and comments, I prefer to go the blogging way to get some online popularity.

Definitely, not the much awaited blogger, is making his debut, on a day when I feel self motivated to scribe something of my own. Probability is one of my favourite topics in Mathematics, and if I define an event as: I am a blogger; the occurrence of the event is almost equal to zero. But then again, who doesn't try at all is more of a failure than who fails while trying. So, I'd prefer to be the latter.

Ambivert and shy describe me the best. Filled with high optimism and enduring patience, I live the carefree way. Scarcely troubled by tough situations in life, as I believe in the motto, that life has to get better one day. I sure have belief in Karma. I believe, you pay for your misdeeds and get rewarded for the good ones in the very same life. A little bit of introversion induces me to critic myself on my thoughts and actions at every iota of a second in a minute of an hour in a day of the month in a year. I believe, knowing yourself as an individual is the greatest achievement in life, and that's where the critic in you helps.

God has carefully grafted our organ system, keeping in mind the nature of the human being. He gave us two eyes, one for simple viewing and the other to certify what you see. Similarly two ears, one from which u hear any sound and the other ear amplifies it to bring out the clarity in what you hear. Brain, which plays the most crucial role in human relationships again, has two parts, left and right. Speaking bluntly or being too superficial is the symptom of using your brain in scarcity and excessiveness, respectively. And if you're too lazy to use your brains, God has manufactured a specially designed emergency system for everyone to think, which is the Heart. Yes, it too is divided, i.e, into Atrium and Ventricle. Even, our mouth is divided into two sections with the help of a tongue. If the tongue didn't flip in both the sections, our words would have had no clarity and would result in nothing but cacophony. So, in every case, one part acts as a critic to the other, but with a condition- you ought to utilize each of your resources. By knowing yourself, you direct all of your positive energy in the appropriate direction with minimum rejection. Even, Abraham Maslow, popular for his hierarchy of needs model, has placed self actualization at the top of the pyramid. This itself proves the ultimate goal of human existence.

Being my first ever attempt to write something meaningful (barring the litany I wrote in my exams, and to be honest they weren't meaningful either), I am bound to mention some cricket here. It’s my only passion which I have played, followed and preached selflessly since I started watching and playing the greatest sport ever (Ain't football for me). My exploits in cricket have been average but I have enjoyed every moment I dedicated to it, on or off the field.

My cricketing attributes shall be worth mentioning: A left handed opening batsman, with the built of Venkatpathy Raju ( Nickname: Muscles), batting stance resembling to that of Curtly Ambrose (the famous 6 foot 6 West Indian bowler), a fielder of similar stature to Ashish Nehra and Munaf Patel, an ambidextrous bowler ( This isn't meant to be a positive quality for me. Since I chuck right handed, I am now a part timer left handed dibbly dobbly off spinner). Batting, hence, has to be my forte if I compare it to my inexplicable ability in other departments. I pretty much dream myself as Sir Rahul Dravid, but I bat more like Albie Morkel,Klusener, and co. ( I'm just giving a comparison, don't even bother yourself thinking I'm up to their level). But, I back myself in pressure situations, although I may falter many a times, I never tend to lose my never say die attitude, and that can match Jumbo's spirit (Anil Kumble).

A Jack of few trades, but that neither demoralizes me, nor makes me feel satisfied by my present accomplishments. I don't intend to be a leader, nor a laggard; I aim to walk my own path on my set pace.

I don't ever want to be in the limelight. I just want some lime, and some light/electricity at home, so that I could prepare, a cool and refreshing lemonade, to deal with this scorching heat.

Cheers.

P.S The starting and the ending paras are contradictory. That is what life is.
